Meet Matthew Whittlesey

Matthew Whittlesey’s unique vintage-styled sports artwork grew from a background in pencil drawing and watercolor painting.  Mr. Whittlesey began creating pencil art drawings of college and pro football players as early as elementary school. He later developed a series of drawings for his senior yearbook and earned recognition for his work in art shows throughout Virginia. 

Mr. Whittlesey studied art at the University of Georgia and graduated with a B.F.A. in Scientific Illustration in 1993.  Having freelanced as a student, he then moved to Seattle and became a computer graphic artist professionally. Mr. Whittlesey has been creating digital graphic design, 3D animation, digital photo editing, and digital illustration ever since. 

Now living in Northern Virginia, Mr. Whittlesey studies architectural drawings from which he combines traditional art aspects with computer-generated artwork to create customized vintage-styled event artwork.
