November 2007: Rainmaker Publishing Announces Partnership with EnduranceWorks LLC for Upcoming Triathlon Book

September 2007: Rainmaker Publishing's Kayaking Team Competes in the Adirondack Canoe Classic (90 Miler)
Two members of Rainmaker Publishing's sea kayaking team placed third in the mixed tandem kayak division in the Adirondack Canoe Classic 90 Mile race from Old Forge, NY to Saranac Lake, NY on September 7-9. The race is the season's grand finale to a race series hosted by Mac's Canoe Livery in Lake Clear, NY. 250 boats with competitors from around the world competed in the 25rd anniversary of this well-known event.
August 2007: Rainmaker Publishing's Kayaking Team Competes in the ARC Canoe Marathon
Two members of Rainmaker Publishing's marathon kayaking team competed in the ARC Canoe Marathon - a 30-mile race from Saranac Inn to Tupper Lake on August 12, 2007. Our team placed first in the women's Recreational Kayak under 50 division and first in the mens' Recreational Kayak under 50 division. The event was organized by the Adirondack Watershed Alliance, courtesy of MAC's Canoe.

February 2007: Rainmaker Publishing Announces Upcoming Sea Kayaking Guidebook to the Baltimore/Washington D.C. Area
February 2, 2007 (Oakton, VA) Rainmaker Publishing is pleased to announce the pending release of a sea kayaking guide to the Baltimore/Washington D.C. area. The book is the first in Rainmaker's new sea kayaking guidebook series called "Sea North America" and will provide paddling information on more than 90 launch sites in the region. Release is scheduled for June of this year.

Michaela Gaaserud, longtime freelance writer for Paddler Magazine, authored a feature article on the Adirondack Canoe Classic. The race, held each September, covers 90 miles in three days through the heart of Adirondack State Park.

Rainmaker Publishing LLC donated a portion of the proceeds of books sales for the day to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

August 2005: Rainmaker Publishing's Kayaking Team Competes in the Adirondack Arc Canoe Marathon
Rainmaker Publishing’s sea kayaking team completed the Adirondack Arc Marathon to Tupper Lake on August 14. The race is part of the Adirondack Arc 2005 Canoe & Kayak Race Series and is hosted by Mac’s Canoe Livery. More than 70 boats ranging from war canoes to solo kayaks made the 26+ mile trip through the rain in Adirondack State Park from the Saranac Inn boat landing to Tupper Lake.

August 2005: Rainmaker Publishing Co-founder Renee Dexter Publishes Articles to Support Women’s Heart Health
Renee Dexter recently published a series of articles to support the “Listen to Your Heart” campaign sponsored by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association and Subaru. Heart disease is the number one cause of death among women, and the campaign aims to increase awareness about the myths and realities of the disease. The campaign also provides pedometers, health screenings, and Red Dress Pins, the national symbol for heart health awareness.
July 2005: Rainmaker Publishing Author David Glover Finishes Strong at the Quelle Challenge in Roth, Germany
David Glover successfully completed the Quelle Challenge (Iron distance triathlon) in Roth, Germany, on July 2, 2005 with a finishing time of 9:36. This was David’s 18th iron distance race (2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike, 26.2 mile run). "The crowds were amazing,” said David after the race, “this is truly a magical place to race!"

Michaela Gaaserud, longtime freelance writer for Canoe & Kayak Magazine, published an article on day trip paddling destinations around the Washington, D.C. area in the magazine’s 2005 Destinations Guide. The Destinations Guide is a special edition magazine published yearly in conjunction with Canoe & Kayak Magazine, containing dozens of great destination articles for both whitewater and flatwater paddling.
May 2005: Rainmaker Publishing Breathes Fresh Air into The Marathon Book Market
May 27, 2005 (Oakton, VA) Rainmaker Publishing LLC today released a one-of-kind guide to 50 great marathons in the United States titled, From Fairbanks to Boston 50 Great U.S. Marathons.
The marathons on “Rainmaker’s 50 List” were selected from more than 300 held annually in the United States. “Training for a marathon requires a lot of time and work. We want our readers to get the most out of their hard training hours with the reward of the right marathon,” said Michaela Gaaserud of Rainmaker Publishing. “This book is designed to help them choose that race.”
A refreshing departure from the usual how to marathon book this book instead provides a fun and informative where to resource. March 2005: Rainmaker Author Andy Harrah Makes Solo Transcontinental Flight
From March 19 March 29, Rainmaker Publishing author Andy Harrah flew a 1975 Cessna Aerobat from his home in Leesburg, Virginia to Santa Barbara, California. The roundtrip, solo flight covered 4,500 miles over the course of 10 days. Flying low and slow, keeping clear of populated areas, and flying an aircraft with a limited range gave Andy the opportunity to meet people at small town airports every few hundred miles.
November 2005: Rainmaker Publishing Donates "The Last Leaf" Print to the Wildlife Center of Virginia.
Rainmaker Publishing LLC donated "The Last Leaf" print by artist Susanne Riva for the Wildlife Center of Virginia’s annual benefit gala and auction. Proceeds from the auction benefit the center, located in Waynesboro, Virginia. "The Last Leaf" is a beautiful depiction of a Titmouse in the chill of late autumn sitting on a branch by the last leaf of the season. "The Last Leaf" prints are sold by Rainmaker Publishing LLC.
October 2004: Rainmaker Publishing Supports Author David Glover and the Duke Comprehensive Cancer Center
